Assemblies are a great
way to bring children together to begin the process of everyone speaking the
same
language,
with regard to bullying and violence. Assemblies are perfect as a refresher for
the older grades and an introduction to the topic of bullying for the younger
grades.
Curriculum synopsis includes: what is violence, different types of violence,
what is bullying, role of peers in bullying, personal power, stereotyping,
cliques, roles and status, anger, anger flags, boundaries, conflict resolution,
self esteem and self confidence.
Assemblies are typically 90 minutes and are geared towards a larger group of
people, typically 100 or more per session.
