S.T.E.P. - Systematic
Training for Effective Parenting is the most widely used parent education
program in the country. More than 4 million people throughout the US and Canada
have participated in the STEP program and discussion groups, since American
Guidance Services (AGS) of Circle Pines, Minnesota first introduced STEP. The
program encourages mutual respect between parents and their children. It leads
to increased cooperation, more effective communications and more responsible,
self-reliant attitudes among today's youth and teens.
