How Bullying follows us EVERYWHERE!

Welcome to the world of the internet. 
It's big, it's fun, it's exciting and mysterious, but it can be DANGEROUS!

Here are some very important rules to follow so that YOU and your FRIENDS can stay SAFE while surfing the net:

Rule #1: Always solve problems face-to-face with the specific person you're having a problem with( Remember anyone can hide behind a screen!)

Rule #2: Assume that ANY internet message you send can be read by anyone AND everyone! (It usually can!)

Rule #3: Keep YOUR web page private and don't share your password! (With Anyone!)

Rule #4: Never give out your ASL (age, sex, location) or any other personal information to someone you met online!

Rule #5: Never post anything online that you don't want the whole world to have forever!

Rule #6: Never make a threat over the Internet, even as a joke! It is MEAN and could be against the LAW!

Rule #7: Print out any threats or other bad messages you receive and show them to a trusted adult. (A bad message is ANYTHING that makes you feel uncomfortable)

Rule #8: Never meet anyone in the real world that you met online without having a safety plan approved by your parents!

Rule #9: AVOID chat rooms and NEVER go private with someone you met in a chat room!

Rule #10: Keep your web cam unplugged when you're not using it. Never use a web cam with someone you don't know.
